On the morning of January 10, 2026, the launch event for Thondar AI Smart Glasses was held on the West Artificial Island of the Shenzhen–Zhongshan Link in Shenzhen. Designed specifically for adolescents, this Smart wearable centers on smart interactive learning, a personalized AI companion, and an ultra-lightweight design, while simultaneously integrating comprehensive health management and safety protection functions. Upon its debut, the product drew significant attention from the industry.

Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Head of the National Blindness Prevention Technology Guidance Group, Ningli Wang; former Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Tsinghua University and Chairman of Tsinghua University Asset Management Co., Ltd., Jizhen Li; Global President of Aier Eye Hospital Group, Li Li and General Manager Dr. Xuechuan Dong of Shenzhen Thondar Technology Co., Ltd., along with nearly a hundred experts and scholars from the fields of education, technology, media, and health, and over 70 young “experience officers,” gathered both online and offline to focus on AI-driven technological innovation and discuss how product upgrades can empower the healthy growth of adolescents.

At the launch event, focusing on the theme “Realizing the Dual Value of Learning and Health for adolescents through AI Smart Glasses,” Ningli Wang emphasized that intelligent devices for young users must deeply integrate both learning and health needs. Taking the Thondar AI Smart Glasses as an example, the product leverages audio-visual conversion learning methods to create an engaging “ third classroom.” It not only helps improve learning efficiency during fragmented periods of time but also incorporates vision protection, posture monitoring, and safety features, reflecting a design that is both innovative and practical.

In his report, “Serving Education: Practical Applications of Smart Products for Adolescent Learning,” Jizhen Li emphasized that AI is not just a technological addition to education, but a systematic optimization of learning. By aligning with the developmental stages and individual needs of children and adolescents, AI enables engaging, precise learning experiences, immersive skill cultivation, and diversified growth assessments. The Thondar AI Smart Glasses expand the functionality of traditional eyewear, improving the accessibility and usability of AI for young learners. Its integration with education and real-life learning scenarios sets a model for the industry.

In his presentation, Li Li pointed out that battery life, cost, and practical usage remain key challenges for widespread adoption of AI smart glasses. After experiencing the Thondar AI Smart Glasses, he praised their lightweight design and personalized AI companion, as well as their context-aware, multi-scenario, interest-driven learning features, which set them apart from similar products. Meanwhile, Aier Eye Hospital Group is using AI to innovate ophthalmic care, aiming to bridge home monitoring and professional clinical services, making products like Thondar AI Smart Glasses a high-quality choice for adolescents’ healthy learning.

Following the presentation, Dr. Xuechuan Dong introduced the Thondar AI Smart Glasses, a smart platform combining learning support, parent-child communication, and vision health management. Made of eco-friendly TR90 material and available in three frame sizes for different face shapes, the glasses use Huawei cloud computing for data storage and resource sharing. This enables smooth interactions, a lightweight design under 25 grams, and low-latency responses within 30 milliseconds, providing a comfortable wearing experience. The glasses create a growth ecosystem described as “learning everywhere, anytime, with everyone as a friend.”

In the product experience area, journalists saw that Thondar AI Smart Glasses use cute cartoon guides to interact with children in over 300 scenarios, such as “supermarket shopping” or “asking for directions.” Supported by low-latency technology, conversations are smooth and uninterrupted. The glasses’ AI features correct pronunciation in real time and personalize learning based on age and interests, turning vocabulary memorization into fun, conversational practice. Parents can also assign listening lessons remotely, helping children use fragmented time effectively and making English learning a seamless part of daily life.

The launch of Thondar AI Smart Glasses brings AI into adolescents’ daily learning and life. With a lightweight design, scenario-based learning, and comprehensive protection, the glasses offer a fresh way to learn and grow and set a model for AI-powered healthy development.
