10 January 2026, the Thondar Precision Optical Equipment and Optical Lens Research, Development, and Industrialization Base project officially held its groundbreaking ceremony in Zhongshan, marking the commencement of construction.

The project covers a land area of 32,500 square meters and a total planned gross floor area exceeding 120,000 square meters, it will focus on the development of an innovative medical product R&D base, an eye health big data demonstration center, and a national-level precision optical research laboratory. Centered on advanced medical equipment, precision optical instruments, and optical lenses, the base aims to build a comprehensive industrial ecosystem spanning the entire upstream and downstream value chain.

The groundbreaking of this project represents an important milestone for Thondar in accelerating the industrialization of innovative medical and optical technologies. Upon completion, the base will significantly enhance the company’s R&D capabilities, promote the transformation and application of cutting-edge technologies, and contribute to the high-quality development of the medical and precision optics industries in the region.
